'Mokum' is the yiddish word for 'place'. Jewish culture is defined by a yearning for its own place, its own country and therefore place means so much more than a location - it symbolises a retreat and safety.
No matter whether it concerns our work environment or our private environs, a place defines our energy and our wellbeing.
Inside places are called spaces, and these inside mokums have to fulfill certain roles – they are assigned a specific function and yet they need to tie in with the overall context and last but not least represent the character inhabiting the space. This website is not about decorating a space, it is about the reciprocity between a space and its contents, which will create a mokum – a place in which we feel energized and content.
